A large piece painted in oils poured onto the canvas. Feathers and scrapers have been used to make the marks in the paint.
The subject is about high summer, heat and seed heads ripening, goldfinches arrive in the meadow and feed frenetically for a very short time then disappear. They cause a tangible ripple in the grasses and are gone.
