Painted in winter 2025, the artist was in residence at Gorselands in Dartmoor. This painting started in winter plein air with cold hands and a flask of coffee to hand. Many layers later, it emerged.
It's about the tranquillity of painting alone, absorbing a winter meadow and it's birdlife.
